The Sun and the Cave………

One day the sun and a cave struck up a conversation.  The sun had trouble understanding what ‘dark’ meant and the cave did not quite get the hang of ‘light and clear’ so they decided to change places. 

The cave went up to the sun and said, “Ah, I see, this is beyond wonderful.  Now come down and see where I have been living.”  The sun went down to the cave and said, “Gee, I do not see any difference.”  The cave was totally surprised by what the sun had to say because in reality when the sun went down to the cave, it took its light along with it and even the darkest corners were illuminated with its radiating light.  That’s why the sun could not see any difference whatsoever.

There is a profound quote from an old book that said, “The enlightened ones can never be sent to hell or pushed into darkness.  They carry their heaven or abundant light on their shoulders all the time.”  If we are full of darkness within, full of negativity, fear and doubt, you become a cave unknowingly.  It’s a hell within and no matter how much you accumulate knowledge, you still remain hollow.

If you are illuminated like the sun, then the darkness of the cave would not matter to you at all. You could be in the worse of circumstances but you’ll still be able to find a blessing somewhere. You will always be positive in life and you will always be carrying your heaven with you.

    Guruji has said : even if a cave has been in dark for million years if you bring in the light darkness would vanish immediately. So it is with our consciousness!!

      1. I had been on a break. I returned a few days ago. Maybe you might have missed a few of my posts. I got married in January. Was busy with the preparations. I went home barely 2 weeks before the wedding. It was very hectic. And we were very stressed due to the pandemic. Luckily, everything came along nicely. I’m good. I hope you and family are safe and well too. I’ll keep visiting now that I’m back. Looking forward to more of your incredible stories. Take care, stay safe.

    Yes, real light prevents darkness from beeing dark as all will be illuminated, even to the furthest corners. I have another metaphor for it: “The shadow thinks it is moving, but it is the light that moves the shadow.” This means, as long as we think that we are the doers, we are the shadow, the darkness, but when we realize that we are not the doers that there is only One Doer, then we move with the light, are in the Will of God…

    1. I am so thankful for your valuable feedback and profound truth, Didi. Yes everything is Light and our shadow too thinks it is moving but it is the divine light that moves the shadow. The day we realise our Oneness with God we have realised ourselves and our soul need not take anymore births and deaths. It is the drop that swallows the Ocean. Love and lots of hugs 🤗🤗🤗🤗🤗🤗🤗

When this happens, my dear friend, then we rise above our body-consciousness and become aware that we are not the body, but soul in the body, like a driver who leaves the car (then the car does not work anymore when the key is taken out). Then we really find what we really are, our own Self (without the mind), then we can meet God in us, see Him in us, talk to Him to His radiate Form, die before we die (means that we are not really dying, as we are still connected with the silver cord – but the process will happen at the time of death, when we leave the body – and with us leaves all fear and doubt) – all competent Masters said it: “Die many times a day…” it means to rise above the body, the body consciousness (without dying). Then the soul goes beyond the astral, causal, super-causal plane and rises to the plane of pure consciousness called “Sach Khand”, also called the 5th inner region. As long as we smithed with matter and dust, we are slaves to the mind (unless we rise above the body)

  17. I absolutely loved the story of the sun and the cave. It made me smile how simple it is yet how deeply it imprints the lesson. So amazing to think that the sun visits the cave to see what darkness looks like but can’t see the difference :))) Just so beautiful!!!
