Butter and Blessings……..

Knife and butter on bread 3d realistic icon Vector Image

It takes a warm slice of bread to soak in the butter that is put on it. The butter will melt so beautifully. It does not matter how much butter we put, but if the bread is cold the butter will stay on the surface only.  It will not melt even if you want to. Bite into it and you will see how different the two taste.

It is the same bread and same butter but a world of a difference in the taste. The melted butter tasted just right but the cold butter had no taste at all.  And so, it is dear friends with the Blessings in our life too. It does not matter how abundantly our Lord blesses us, showers us with His unconditional love but if we are not gracious in our acceptance of what he has to give us, how can those blessings ever make a change in our lives.

Pretty much like the layer of butter on cold bread, blessings not graciously and wholeheartedly embraced continue to remain on the periphery and fail to make any positive change in our life.  We have to root out selfishness from our very life and be selfless and humane in this World.

We need to “Acknowledge our blessings”: accept them with gratitude and thankfulness. Always learn to “Keep your bread warm. Let the butter soak in, bathed in the richness of this butter, every bite, every morsel then is bound to taste yummy and divine”.

We are all Deeply Interconnected.  Be Humble, for you are made of Earth, Be Noble, for you are Made of Stars.

    1. Thank you dear Robbie. Happy Easter to you and your family. Yes all quarantined at home and with husband, son and mother-in-law keeping busy in the kitchen and then when time permits seeing WordPress, reading or seeing a movie on Netflix or YouTube and this is how the day goes. Hope you all are safe and at home locked down.

  2. Powerful enlightening post, Kamal! Your wisdom is astounding and the way you put concepts forth is just brilliant! The image of the slab of butter on a cold piece of bread is so vivid in my mind showing me without humbleness and gratitude, God’s blessings will not be known. LOVED this post! Keep on shining your beautiful light! This world needs it! Thank you! xo

      1. Thank you so much! Spirituality haas been a great part of my life growing up because of my mom. She has passed on this culture to us to thank god everyday for everything they have given us and for the life! Given the situation entire world is going through right now, I am grateful to god for being alive! 🙂

  3. This is a beautiful analogy! I love seeing parallels between the seemingly mundane aspects of life and higher truths. No doubt our Creator gave us these gems to find, waiting for us to recognize the divine signature that gives meaning to even the simplest parts of life. 🙂

    1. well said Jacquie. It’s almost like the blessings have been stored up and waiting on us to get to them and all we need is to find the way…that’s it…..that’s why Jesus said…I am the way. If we can follow in His footsteps, I think we will certainly not miss the blessings that are waiting for us. Agree?

  4. One thing I’d prefer to say is that before buying more laptop or computer memory, check out the machine in to which it could well be installed. Should the machine will be running Windows XP, for instance, the particular memory limit is 3.25GB. Adding over this would just constitute some sort of waste. Make certain that one’s mother board can handle this upgrade volume, as well. Good blog post.
