Temple Stairs………..

When Radha was a young girl almost every day, she used to go to the Temple with her mother. The temple had many stairs. She used to ask her mother almost daily, “Why can’t they build the temple on the ground? Why do we have to climb the stairs each and every day.  Some temples I have seen are built on mountains that are so high and there are plenty of stairs to climb until we reach the temple”.

The mother gave an excellent answer to her daughter and said in her gentle voice, “You need to rise above your level to reach God.  Each step of the stairs is a reminder that you are rising above your level in terms of your envy, greed, anger, ego and all negative aspects of your life. Tensions have become our guests; we invite them unnecessary. It also suggests that you have to climb the steps one by one, you can’t just jump off from first step to the last step in a minute. It takes time and effort.

Relaxation and Patience is our very nature; we don’t have to invite it; we simply move into its very core and every fibre of our being, letting go of our anger and negativity. Being completely stress-free and relaxed you can reach your destination to the top.

That is the cycle of life, once you conquer these aspects, you reach towards your inner core self, the Divine You. You might think that every increasing hurdle in front of you is a sign of stopping. It’s not. When you keep going on and turn back after a few years, you will see it was just a staircase after all, that you were climbing on the way to your victory and success.

  4. What a beautiful story, Kamal, that holds so much truth. Enlightenment is a staircase, attained only by taking one step at a time, climbing higher and higher. I really loved reading this post. Bless you for shining your light! xo

  5. Thank you very much, my dear Kamal, to share this beautiful content filled with wisdom. 🙂

Life is not a straight way, we often have to fall into traps and ditches until we have learned our lessons to continue our way higher and higher in the process of getting to know ourselves. Hinderance and problems are in the end no hindrances and problems but necessary steps to overcome to make us learn to turn them from a stone into gold. Sometimes there is a pain in us to make us aware that we still have a task to accomplish, like a milestone or a step that needs to be taken to climb the stairs of life. Accepting good and bad things that occur in our lives is necessary to advance and make progress on the inner path.
Then it is also easier and be prepared to swim in the Will of God…

All the best, my friend and a happy day 🙂
    Much love and many hugs
