I came across this beautiful poem on TWO BOXES and it reads like this:
I have in my hands two boxes
Which God gave me to hold.
He said, ‘Put all your sorrows in the black box,
And all your joys in the gold.’
I heeded His words, and in the two boxes
Both my joys and sorrows I stored
But though the gold became heavier each day
The black was as light as before.
With curiosity, I opened the black box
Cause I wanted to find out why
And I saw, in the base of the box, a hole
From which my sorrows had fallen out
I showed the hole to God, and mused,
‘I wonder where my sorrows could be!’
He smiled a gentle smile and said,
‘My child, they’re all here with me….’
I asked God, why He gave me the boxes,
Why the gold and the black with the hole?
‘My child, the gold is for you to count your blessings,
The black is for you to let go.’
We must consider our family and friends
As a blessing and just to let them know
That they are a joy in your life
And you are always thinking of them
A treasure that is granted by God to me.………
Beautiful Kamal 🙂

Always beautiful. Gratitude so important and important to let go of the sorrow. We could do this by throwing each sorrow in the rubbish bin, and write our gratitude in a book to review. Such a beautiful post so beautiful. I really enjoyed it.
Thank you Kamal for always sharing such great posts.

Nice story, dear Kamal – thanks for sharing 🙂
I would like to add something to it: As God is living in everyone, in each heart and has His temple, His residence there, we should even feel the blessings from all people, not just only from friends and family, means if we see God in all – then we can also feel the blessing from all… When our love is a selected love, just because of seeing the man in them alone and not seeing God in them, then we cannot love all, then we love only a few, but if we love God in all then we love all, not just a few. When we think of God, we can find Him everywhere around us – because there is no place, where God is not…
Thanks again, dear Kamal 🙂
Blessings to you, to your family and every person, every animal, every plant…wherever the life-impulse is present…
