Young v/s Old………..

Image result for images of young v/s old

When I was young, I was worried about my pimples least someone found me ugly but now when I am old, I am worried about my wrinkles.

When I was young, I was waiting to hold his hand, but when I am old now, I am waiting for someone to hold my hand.

When I was young, I hated when I was counselled by my parents, when I am old there is no one around me to talk. I have become completely alone.

When I was young, I admired beautiful things around me, when I am old, I see beauty in things around me but there is no one I can share with.

When I was young, I celebrated the moments with friends and family, when I am old, I am cherishing my memories that were so beautiful.

When I was young, I found it difficult to wake up in the morning with having late nights, when I am old, I am finding it difficult to catch up on my sleep.

At extreme stages of our life, we worry but we do not realize, life needs to be experienced. It doesn’t matter whether we are young or old, life needs to be lived with love and compassion.

We learn something from everyone who passes through our lives, some lessons are painful, some are painless but deep down all are precious. Enjoy young and old age as it comes in your lives.

      1. Exactly. Yet being human, there are times we do worry about those we love. I’m learning to lean on God more and more and cease to worry. Some days are better then others. (smile)

  1. Thank you very much, my dear Kamal – good idea and comparations πŸ™‚
Indeed, if we live so that we are with our Father, with God in us all the time, be we young or old, then we are never alone – yes everything needs to be lived through and has its reason why this or that comes to us, touches us in a good or bad way – but everything good or bad is a kind of medicine, a kind of lesson to learn from to forward our development spiritually, intellectually and mentally as divine tools for our soul. Everything is meant for us to go Home someday again…

With warm regards in thankfulness πŸ™‚

  2. Kamal, wise words, indeed! At each stage of our lives, we easily find ourselves dissatisfied, looking back with fondness, looking forward with apprehension. May we learn to embrace each year, each stage of our lives, learning from the years before us, giving us wisdom and strength for what lies ahead. All the time ensuring, as you write, that ” life needs to be lived with love and compassion”.

    1. True and I agree totally with your words. There is nothing like aging it is just our body that grows old from a youngster to an old person but our soul is untarnished. So who grows old no one and we will never. Once we remove these notions from our mind then we always remain beautiful and smiling. Thanks once again Kally.
