Hearts like doors

Opens with effortless ease

That radiates as a loving friend

With a warm ‘thank you Sir

And if you please’.

 

But today I take the liberty

To change the words to read

‘Hearts like doors, open with ease

With utmost care and love

And compassion if you please!’

 

Hearts give us precious life

It can flutter and flirt too

And can be wayward as hell

Keeps you active and cheerful

Glowing through every life

 

The heart beats softly, gently

For the one person it loves tenderly

It waits patiently, its angelic wings spread

And when it is freed with care

It flies eternally to that Open Door……………
