Why do I Whine, when the World is Mine……….

download

– Today, upon a bus, I saw a very beautiful woman, and I wished I were as beautiful as her. When suddenly, she rose to leave as her stop had come, I saw her hobble down the aisle. She had one leg and wore a crutch. But as she passed, she gave me such a broad smile.  Oh! Dear God, forgive me when I whine.  I have such beautiful two legs; the world is mine.

-I stopped to buy some candy at a store nearby. The lad who sold it had such charm and a wonderful expression.  I talked with him and he seemed so glad to chat with me.  It was so nice to be pleasant with people even though they are strangers. And as I left, he said to me, ‘I thank you, you have been so kind. It is so nice to talk with folks like you. You see, I am blind.’ Oh! Dear God, forgive me when I whine. I have two eyes; the world is mine.

-Later, while walking down the street, I saw a child I knew. He stood and watched the others play, but he did not know what to do. I stopped a moment and then I said, ‘Why do you not join the other boys dear and play with them?’ He looked ahead without a word. I forgot, he could not hear me. Oh! Dear God, forgive me when I whine. I have two ears; the world is mine.

With feet to take me where I would love to go, with eyes to see the sunset’s glow and the moon’s lovely emerald skies in the dark night and with ears to hear what I would like to know, Oh! Dear God, forgive me when I whine. I have been blessed a million times indeed and the world is such a beautiful place to live in and it is all mine. The reason why I thank you so much Dear God, is because I know I deserve Nothing but you have given me Everything and I shall cherish everything as a blessing.

Sometimes in life what you want is not what you always get, but in the end, what you get is so much better than what you always wanted. These people who had these deficiencies in life were not complaining or crying at life’s miseries instead they were so happy and friendly. Trust God completely and allow nature’s peace to flow into you as sunshine flows into trees.

I have found that those with such challenges really understand the gift of life and live their’s to the fullest which in turn grants them a special gifted talent!

  2. Each morning and during the day there are many things to be thankful for.
I do believe that the more handicaps or pains one meets in life, the more aware you get of all that is a blessing.
It shows your open heart that you do notice and feel empathy for people around you who live with challenges.

  4. Wow you nailed this one! The people that have disabilities understand the real meaning of life. They know not to judge and accept people for who they are on the inside. I work with people with disabilities and have learned so much in the past decade!

  5. Some people are stubborn like me who will do anything to get something they want but in the end god gives what they really need but first you have to give a test.I am thankful to god who gives me what I deserve on not what I want.

  6. Wow, so beautifully expressed..
Things are often taken granted, but we should not forget our roots and the inevitable truth that we are not going to take anything with us apart from some good deeds and memories ☺️☺️
