While a man was polishing his brand new Audi Car which he had just bought a few weeks back, his 6 years old son picked up a stone that was lying by and scratched lines on the side of the car. In pure anger without even thinking for a moment what he was going to do, the man took the child’s hand and hit it many times; not realizing he was using a wrench.
The child had to be taken immediately to the hospital as he was bleeding profusely. At the hospital, the child lost all his fingers due to multiple fractures. When the child saw his father, in his pure innocence and with painful eyes he asked, ‘Dad when will my fingers grow back?’
The man was so hurt and speechless; he went back to his car and kicked it a lot of times and wept bitterly. He did not understand what had got into him and why had he taken this drastic step and ruined his son’s life in a fit of anger. Being kind and in a loving manner if he had explained to his son that scratching on the car was not the right thing to do, the little boy would have immediately comprehended.
Devastated by his own actions, sitting in front of that car he looked at the scratches; the child had written ‘LOVE YOU DAD’. The next day the man committed suicide as he could not bear to see what he had done out of his anger to his son who loved him so much.
Anger and love have no limits; always choose the latter to have a beautiful, fulfilling life with your family and friends. But the problem in today’s world is that, people are used in a very bad way and not respected for who they are and things which have no value or significance are loved to their glory. Let us be careful to keep these thoughts in mind: ‘Things are to be used and when they are not wanted they have to be given up or thrown away but people are to be loved and cherished for the rest of our lives. Once you lose them they never come back. They are very precious’.
Always Watch your thoughts; they become words. Watch your words, they become actions, watch you actions, they become habits, watch your habits they become character; watch your character; it becomes your destiny. Why don’t we change for the better?
Live a simple and contented life. Love and be happy with One and All.
Great lesson. Great words.

Kamal, another strong story from you. You have me in tears this morning. I pretend this couldn’t happen. I know people can love their cars a lot but to this extent is frightening. Now the child has lost his finger and his father.
I don’t understand anger against a little child…..
I pray it is only a moral story to teach us how dangerous anger is.

I love the way you narrated the story. It touched my heart and got a good lesson. Never imagined a dad could do so.But anger is the only thing which has power ,and in anger we lose our actual sense.

This brought tears to my eyes and should be a powerful reminder to all who act in anger. I once heard to count to ten when you are angry, to let it pass you and to regain control over your actions. This would have prevented such moment described here I believe.

Kamal thank you for sharing this story, it’s life teaching. This man must have suffered from his anger to the end of his life, the only hope is that his son will be able to break this chain of anger of his father and will be able to conduct a better life than his father ever had. Don’t get me wrong I’m not supporting this cruel actions of the father at all. Yet trying to unfold a bigger picture of the father’s life in such unhappiness, which might have been passed on through generations, the only way to cut through this is how his son will heal and therefore not passing on the same anger possession to his own children.

Indeed a beautiful message to be instilled in ones life! Being human we tend to forget our humanity at times of anger and that results in greater loss. To Love the people we have rather than the things is a better way to preceed in life. Great one there!😉🙂

In Anger we hurt ourselves and also hurt others.
in love we get hurt from others mostly.
In both cases discretion plays the role (vivek).
Nice illustration to prove the title.

just how do you react. Its like a child spilling their drink because they are unsure how to use anything but a sippy cup, you can’t truly get mad even if your new white carpet has a stain

Yes absolutely true and agree totally with your words. One can be angry but not the way mentioned in the story. There has to be an understanding or explanating to the child what is good and what is bad in a gentle way
