A different path had I taken
This wonderful sunny day
I came down gushing
From the hills and dales
Among scented flowers
And shy willows asleep
Cascading with the waterfalls
Flowing wild and free.
Men and women drank of me
Quenching their thirst to a fill
My river waters are never empty
Overflowing with joy aplenty.
Lovers paddled their feet
At my edges lost in themselves
Happy sailing were the Canoers too
There was laughter and sweet songs
All about me.
My path was cool and clear
When I reached the heart
Of my Mother, the Sea.
Uplifting poem with strong flow. I can feel that water as if I were there in your last words ” When I reached the heart, of my Mother the Sea”.

I loved the imagery you formed of the journey of the river to it’s mother’s lap. Beautiful Kamal 👌💖

Thanks so much Radhika. Yes from where she started and where she finally reached. The analogy is the same in our lives isn’t it cause we all have to one day go to our journey’s end.

In real life also it’s always a blessing and a Divine feeling when we meet our mother.. life brings so many ups and downs brings so many new faces and people.. but the one look from those eyes filled with true love an care takes away all the pain and sorrow

Yes absolutely true and agree totally with your words, Shilpa and the river is just the right analogy of our own selves who r waiting for eons to meet our mother the ocean. So nice to hear these beautiful words.
