I Had Lunch With God……..

images0KJZRO2O

A little boy aged 8 years old told his mother that he wanted to meet God. His mother very sweetly told him, ‘Okay, dear but where will you find him in this vast Universe.’ The little boy insisted that he would set out to look for God and come back safely once he did.’ His mother knew that was not possible and did not seem to argue with him. She knew he would come back home so she packed his suitcase with two sets of his dress, a water-bottle and some packets of cakes for him on his way. The boy very happily started his journey, he walked a long distance and found a park! He was feeling tired so he decided to sit in the park and take some refreshment and water as he was feeling thirsty too. He opened a packet of cake to eat.

A little distance away he noticed an old woman sitting nearby, sad with hunger, so he offered her a piece of cake. She gratefully accepted it with a wide look and smiled at him. Her smile was so pretty and tender that the boy longed to see it again. After sometime he offered her another piece of cake. Again, she accepted it and smiled at him. The boy was delighted and joyous. They sat there all afternoon eating and smiling, but never said a word. While it grew dark, the boy was frightened and he got up to leave but before he had gone more than a few steps, he ran back and gave the woman a tight hug and she kissed him ever so sweetly with her prettiest smile.

Back home, when the boy knocked the door, his mother was surprised by the look of joy and merriment on his face. She asked him: ‘What did you do today that makes you look so happy? He replied, ‘I had lunch with God.’ Before his mother could respond, he added, ‘You know what? God has got the most beautiful smile I have ever seen in my life.’

Meanwhile, the old woman, also radiant with joy, returned to her home. Her son was stunned by the look of peace and happiness on her face and asked, ‘Mom, what did you do today that made you so happy?’ She replied, ‘I ate cakes in the park with God.’ Before her son responded, she asked, ‘You know, he’s much younger than I expected. I thought God would be much older and very different but he turned out to be a mischievous little boy.’

Friends too often we underestimate the power of a simple touch, a smile, a kind word, a listening ear, an honest compliment or the smallest act of caring, all of which have the potential to turn a life around. Remember, nobody knows what God looks like. People come into our lives for a reason for a season or for a lifetime. Accept all of them equally. LET THEM SEE GOD IN YOU.

  1. I almost went to bed (early AM here so well past time), but the notice of this post crossed my path so I though I would read ONE more before shutting things down. Well that turned out to be my best decision today!

What a charming story, Kamal. Godly actions are reflections of God – yet the young and the old seem most willing to recognize them. Thank you for a beautiful end to my “day” – I shall have sweet dreams indeed, thanks to you.

    1. hahaha it is a pleasure to read such wonderful words from you dear Madelyn and yes so nice now you can have a good sleep and next day when you get up remember you are eating breakfast with God and so true they both are so innocent that they can see God as God and we in between people with all our multitudes of shit have forgotten our sweet God who is all the time in our midst. Thanks once again Good night dear have a pleasant sleep and Love and Hugs from the One and Only Sweet God.

      1. Actually my son was a dyslexic child and was having this type of symptoms so I had to take a lot of care with his studies and had to keep him in open school which really helped him and he did not have to study many subjects too.

  2. Great and educational story….Love is sharing…Love is helping…Love is care for others…Love is God…..During the Second World War the Nazis has destroyed the entrance to a cave and they find Jesus’ original record with the words “Where you pick up the stone there you will find me.Where you cut the tree ,there you will find me”…. God is everywhere around us !

    1. Oh great and such powerful words Ben and yes absolutely true wherever and whatever you do it is Him and Him alone everywhere and in everything. You know God says ‘Not a Leaf moves without Lifting my hand’, so nothing does besides him. It is he only who eats, sleeps and does everything with us Ben. Happy day in His Love.

  3. This was absolutely beautiful, full of His love. It brought tears to my eyes. Not that I enjoy crying in the morning, since I woke up most of my life crying, (thank God not any more) but this was a perfect way to start my day. Thank you 🙂 God Bless you.

  4. An amazing story, Kamal! Thank you for sharing.
As children we were always told that we were part of a bigger force and God resided in every one of us so we ought to be true to our self in everything we do. Even though this was told so that we did not resort to lies and deceit, we follow it to this day and now passing it on to our children too so that they do the same. Prayers that we all learn to respect one another and see the ‘God’ within each one of us for this is so required in this world of unrest!

    1. Thanks for your lovely words and absolutely true friend God resides in all of us and he is not sitting on a pedestal he is one of us. When he comes in our midst he tells us I am your beloved love me and love your fellow beings but we forget him and only glorify him in religious nonsense. Even I found this piece of story so beautiful that it brought tears to my eyes. Happy day to u.🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏

  5. there is so much truth in this story. Sometimes while we are looking for God, He is interacting with us in different ways unimaginable but we couldn’t respond because we are too stuck in how we would like him to respond.

  6. There are no coincidences and when I read this post my mind immediately returned to an event I saw yesterday. I was driving and passed an SUV about to turn into the street I was on, from a parking lot and in the driver’s window was this stunning woman with a smile looking at someone in another car pulling into the parking lot. When I saw the smile I thought, “I just saw a glimpse of this woman’s soul and through it, God.” Wow! I LOVED this post and it is just so true. Thank you! 🤗
