Expect the Unexpected……….

In life you have to Expect the Unexpected.  Anything can happen and probably it will. Do not be surprised by an unusual event taking place and don’t miss out on a blessing because it isn’t packaged the way you expected. 

There was a man sitting at the water-front totally crestfallen and dejected with his life. Though he was a very pious soul and prayed daily to God, life had not been very kind and he had gone through many rough phases in his lifetime. He could not take it anymore and he pleaded with God in a whispering tone: “God speak to me” and a “meadow lark sang”, but the man did not hear. So he yelled and screamed: “God speak to me” and the “thunder rolled across the sky”, but he did not listen.

The man looked around and said “God let me see you” and “a twinkling star shone brightly”, but as he was blinded by hopelessness, he did not see God. He again shouted, “God show me a miracle” and “a beautiful life was born”, but the man did not notice. In the end he was so disconsolate, he cried out in despair, “Touch me God and let me know you are here”. Whereupon “God reached down and touched the man”, but the man “brushed the butterfly away and walked on”. 

Not once did he realize that God’s kindest gestures were so generous and God was so compassionate that every time he called, God was ever present besides him showering his Gifts of Love. But the man was so caught up in his unfulfilled materialistic world that when God came in his midst he did not see Him and was still waiting in hope for a miracle to happen………………..
